QFL kickoff was Saturday, and events for points will start Wednesday. Our team is "Mean Machine" and we are going to kick butt! Our team is me, Charisma, Becky Bosch and Char Franklin. We played quilter's hoop toss. Fun. Can't wait to play more!
It was a lot of fun! I am anxious to see how every one does. There are some productive, talented teams... Brianna and her team mates will have some competition!!!
COMPETITION.......YEah Right! There is no competing...I already have 5 quilts quilted...and 3 more tops ready to be quilted....I will have more than 10 tops....there is no competing! LOL!
Oooohhhh Charisma, such trash talk! You better hope Thelma doesn't read this. I've seen her piece two quilts, quilt them, bind them, butcher a pig, paint the basement and color her hair... all before breakfast! She's the quilting hulk - you won't like her when she's angry...
Yeah...I know.....I am banking on the fact that she isn't reading this! LOL. There is no competing agianst Thelma..I have to block out the pain..or it is to hard to bear. Teh rest of her team members don't have to do anything and they will probably still win..that is the bad part!
Well Thelma's teammates do read this blog and will be happy to share your sentiments with her to get her a little fired up. Let's just say that her teammates are working trying to keep up with her pace to ensure we can blow the other teams, especially yours, out of the water!
All I had to say was good Job on the "TEAM SPIRIT" everyone has gone above and beyond. I bet they don't do that back east.....;} I finished two more tops last night and I have one ready tonight..... Plus .......hmmmm I will save that for later. What could it be....I wonder.... Later :)
Hi ladies. I've been thinking..I bet everyone who comes around to my shop on Saturday morning and helps me paint it could get at least an extra 500 points....I'll ask Cindy next week sometime......tee hee!!! Hope everyone is having fun. Our team wants to send a BIG CHEER to team member Sarah (Sabrina's daughter). She has just made her very first quilt and it is lovely. YAAAAAAAA SARAH!!! You go girl.

SARAH JUST STARTED A NEW JOB OR ELSE SHE WOULD BE DOING THIS. SO OUR TEAM IS SALLY, JERI, SARAH AND ME AND WE ARE THE GREAT "GABBY QUILTING GECKO'S" SOME FUN FACTS ABOUT THE RARE BUT BEAUTIFUL "GQG" IS THAT WE HAVE MICROSCOPIC HAIRS ON OUR TOES THAT HELP US RUN UP WALLS AND DEFY GRAVITY BY WALKING UPSIDE DOWN ON THE CEILING. THE "GQG" HAS FURTHER ADAPTED OUR GRAVITY DEFYING ACTS TO SEARCH FOR THAT PERFECT PIECE OF FABRIC AS WE CRAWL OVER PILES OF MATERIAL OR OTHER QUILTERS. THE STICKY STUFF ON THE PADS OF OUR FEET IS THE INSPIRATION FOR ALL FUSIBLE WEB. WE WILL FUSE YOU TO THE WALL!!! STAY TUNED FOR MORE FUN FACTS.
